If you intend to stay at the hostel during your studies, you will be asked vaccination certificate and medical examination results. If you are applying for benefits from the state, then be sure to prepare benefit certificates.
Step two - we give documents to the university
In order for you to be accurately enrolled in a particular university, you must provide original document of education, other universities can provide scans and copies of documents. If you are unable to visit in person admission committee then you can send documents by mail(to another city) or provide electronic(if the university allows).
In 2016, applicants can submit documents:
Immediately to 5 universities maximum;
- a maximum of 3 specialties in one university (in total, one applicant can enter 15 specialties at the same time).
Forms of education and the basis (contractual or budgetary) the applicant can choose at his discretion within the framework of the procedures established by the university.

Step three - enrollment results

If you are in a good position and understand that you are passing by points, then feel free to bring the original documents to the university for the chosen specialty. remember, that August 1 - deadline for submitting originals for the first stream. If by the end of this day the originals are not provided by you, you will automatically be considered to have refused enrollment.
By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, a list of entrance tests for admission to study in educational programs of higher education - bachelor's programs and specialist's programs - has been determined. (Full list).
At the same time, the results of the Unified State Examination in the Russian language and in the profile subject for this specialty must be taken into account. Universities are given the right to choose another third exam from several recommended for this specialty.
(The procedure for admission to universities, order No. 890 of 07/22/16)
In 2018, the results of the USE for 2014-2018 will be valid.
Two universities - Moscow and St. Petersburg State Universities have a special status. These universities have the right to independently make a decision on conducting one additional entrance examination of a profile orientation when enrolling for undergraduate and specialist training programs.
By government decree, the right to conduct their own entrance examinations for certain specialties annually may be granted to some more universities. The form of these examinations (written, oral, testing, interview) is determined by the university.
Right to hold ( in addition to the exam) one own entrance test in a specialized subject was given to 5 universities:
Universities that have the right to conduct additional tests for applicants
(for some specialties)
- Moscow State Law Academy named after O.E. Kutafin (jurisprudence)
- Moscow State Linguistic University (political science, jurisprudence, linguistics, etc.)
- Moscow Pedagogical State University(sociology)
- National Research University "Higher School of Economics" (Philology, Linguistics)

Universities must determine the final list of entrance examinations and conditions for admission by February 1 of the current year.
Admission to universities without entrance examinations
Without entrance examinations (USE results), only winners and prize-winners can enter the university final stage All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren, members of the national teams of the Russian Federation participating in international Olympiads in general subjects, for training in the areas of training (specialties) corresponding to the profile of the Olympiad.
Winners and prize-winners of additional Olympiads, the list of which is established by the Council for Olympiads, acting on the basis of the Russian Union of Rectors, receive benefits at the discretion of the educational institutions themselves, where they enter in accordance with the profile of the Olympiad
Admission to a university: an important life segment of any young man or girl.
When I worked at the university in the admissions office, I saw a girl with more than 300 USE scores. She sat in the admissions office on August 7 and 10 minutes before the closing of the commission she cried, because she could not get her documents to take them to another university.
I saw a young man, also with high scores, who came to apply because he did not enter last year ... People think that it is easy to enter with high scores, but this is not so.
All these pictures say one thing, to enter a university you need three things:
- - pass the exam with high scores
- - choose the right university
- - correctly submit documents
What do you need to pass the exam for 100 points?
Reading manuals and memorizing does not give the best result. In order to pass the exam for 100 points, high-quality materials are needed. Today, such materials are video tutorials, info cards and presentations. As well as direct consultation with a professional. Then there will be the desired result. In history and social studies, the highest quality video lessons are in and.

Both of these products have my professional support and advice.
Many will say or think that everyone already knows. But here's an example for you: my book "How not to screw up with admission" downloaded by over 400 people. But the test for real self-assessment was downloaded by only 35-40. It's called overconfidence: when you think you know everything. If you think you know everything, then test yourself! As a result, only those who are constantly developing will be handed over to the “weave”. And our materials are just a bomb for accelerated development. AND
The deadlines for submitting documents have been changed - universities will start accepting applications from June 20. If the specialty involves passing additional creative exams, then the deadline for submitting documents will be postponed to July 7.
Some educational institutions conduct internal tests: for them, the Ministry of Education has set its own opening date for admissions committees - July 10.
The procedure for admission to the correspondence department does not provide for specific deadlines, therefore universities make their own decision, which they inform applicants in advance through information stands and their official websites.
How and when to apply to the university
You can submit documents to the admissions committee in person, send them by mail or fill out an application on the Internet, or simply indicate in the application when, where and for what points the exam was passed.
The university itself will check the accuracy of this information and, if everything is confirmed, will allow the applicant to participate in the competition for enrollment. It is necessary to provide the originals of the certificate and certificates of passing the exam only before signing the order of the rector on enrollment.
How many universities can I apply to
An applicant has the right to apply to five universities for 3 areas of study in each - that is, to apply for 15 budget places. You can apply for one faculty at once for daytime, evening and correspondence courses and for another for daytime and evening studies. Or choose five faculties, but all with full-time education.
Winners and prize-winners of Olympiads for schoolchildren (university or all-Russian), who have earned a benefit upon admission, this year will be able to use it only once. That is, to one university for one direction, and to all the others - according to the results of the Unified State Exam, like ordinary schoolchildren.
On the exam, in addition to a passport and a pass, it is allowed to bring a few black gel pens, a bottle of water and a chocolate bar. It is useful to have a watch on your hand to keep track of the time. It is better if they are mechanical, as examiners may have questions about electronic ones.
It is allowed to take a ruler for an exam in mathematics, a ruler and a non-programmable calculator for physics, chemistry and geography. At the exam in chemistry, you can also use the periodic tables issued by the organizers and the solubility of salts, acids and bases in water, as well as the electrochemical series of metal voltages.
Applicants will have to hand over mobile phones before the exam.
military university
To become a regular military man, you can apply only to one military institute or university. In addition, in addition to the CES, you will have to take physical training exams, undergo a medical commission and psychological testing.
If you didn’t manage to get into a military university, so as not to miss a whole year, you can apply to a civilian university where there is a military department, or serve in the army, and then try your hand again.
Military children who have served for at least 20 years have benefits when entering military universities. There is no competition for children who have no parents, and for applicants who took part in hostilities.
If a boy graduates from school at 18
According to the law "On Education", everyone has the right to enter a university after graduation. True, not all military commissars know that 18-year-olds also have the right to enter. And in order for them to leave the applicant alone, Dmitry Medvedev instructed the ministers of defense and education to consider giving such guys a deferment.
What score can you get
The Ministry of Education reports that in 2016 the passing scores to universities will increase, despite the fact that the essence of the entrance exams themselves will not change much. Mainly, the increase in requirements should be expected in such disciplines as mathematics, social studies and a foreign language.
According to Rosobrnadzor, in 2016, the passing score in mathematics will be increased from 24 points to 27, in foreign languages the points will increase from 20 points to 22, and in social studies - from 39 points to 42.
The rest of the disciplines will remain unchanged from last year. So, in the Russian language, biology, physics and chemistry, at least 36 points will remain, in geography - 37 points, in history and literature - 32 points and 40 points in ICT and informatics.
Thus, applicants who could not score the indicated scores in the selected subjects are not eligible to apply for admission to the university.
It is also worth noting that in addition to passing the USE exams, you can get an additional 20 points for an essay or other achievements during the period of study. Practice shows that each increase in the requirements for future students to pass exams does not give very good results.
Who and how can enter Russian universities
In 2016, the number of universities that citizens of 198 countries of the world will be able to enter under the quota will be more than 500. In addition to foreign citizens, applicants can also be stateless persons, as well as compatriots living abroad (excluding Russian citizens).
The main innovation in the new year concerned the procedure for accepting applications. For this, the electronic resource Russia.study is now working - through the "single window" you can submit an application and a package of documents that are needed for the selection process. At the same time, when applying, a potential student can indicate up to 6 Russian universities, in which he is interested in entering.
Russian universities offer several options for studying. It can be full-time - all classes take place during the day, with the personal presence of students at the university. There is a part-time study - it involves classes in the evening on weekdays and in the afternoon on weekends.
There is also a correspondence form of education - students attend a course of introductory lectures, after which they study at home according to a specially designed program, then come to the university to take tests and exams.
The levels of higher education also differ: you can study undergraduate, specialist, master's, postgraduate, professional retraining and advanced training programs, and also come to study Russian.
Foreigners, like Russians, can study at higher educational institutions in Russia at the expense of the budget of the Russian government or on a commercial basis.
Free education
There are three options for admission to state-funded places financed by the Russian government. In particular: candidates can become the winner of one of the Olympiads held in Russia or abroad; pass the exam or entrance exams; pass a competitive selection for state scholarships (quota).
For three years, 15 thousand quotas for free education in Russian universities have been distributed among foreign applicants.
The state scholarship includes: free education for the entire period in the chosen specialty; monthly stipend (during the entire period of study, regardless of the success of the candidate). In 2015, it was about 1,300 rubles (about $26) per month; provision of a hostel (if the university has premises).
Foreign students (with higher education) undergoing internships under programs of additional professional education (professional retraining or advanced training) are not paid a monthly stipend, but are provided with a place in the dormitory of the educational institution.
The selection of foreign applicants is carried out by Rossotrudnichestvo through a network of its representative offices, as well as through Russian embassies abroad.
Training on a commercial basis
If a foreign citizen is not offered a quota within the enrollment of 15,000 applicants, he will be offered to study at Russian universities under a contract.
Taking into account the fact that the cost of education in many universities is relatively low (in a significant part of universities it is 1000-1500 euros per year), many will be interested in this format.
If they have their own funds for training, applicants can choose the educational institution they like and contact its representatives. Most often, universities are asked to send an initial application by e-mail, accompanying it with the relevant documents.
How to apply
Initial application indicating the desired specialty and level of education; a copy of the document on education with a list of subjects and grades (with translation into Russian); a copy of the identity card; a completed application form (the form is issued by the university or representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo); photographs (on request).
All documents must be translated into Russian and certified in the prescribed manner (by a notary or in the consular department of the embassy).
Official submission of documents to the university upon arrival in Russia
Application for admission to study indicating the chosen specialty and form of study; a document proving the identity of the applicant and his citizenship (original and notarized translation into Russian); a document on education indicating the subjects studied and grades obtained (original and notarized translation into Russian).
A medical certificate of the established form stating that there are no contraindications for studying in Russia with a note on the results of an HIV test (or a medical certificate) and a photograph of the established form must also be submitted.
After the applicant passes the competitive selection, he must receive an invitation and apply for a study visa.
How to get a study visa
For applicants from countries that have a visa-free regime with Russia, it is enough to present a passport to enter its territory. In other cases, in order to enter the territory of Russia, in addition to an identity document, you must present a student visa.
To apply for a student visa, you will need an invitation. An invitation for foreigners is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (MIA of Russia) and the Federal Migration Service (FMS of Russia).
Applicants sent to universities based on the results of competitive selection for state scholarships (quota) receive visas at the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo, they are given a six-digit invitation number, which they give when submitting documents for a visa.
If the applicant entered the university on a general basis or on a commercial basis, then the university will send him an invitation. When applying for a visa, you will need the original of this document.

After the exam and the painful choice of an educational program at the university, it's time to put your thoughts in order and mark on the calendar: when, what and where to take for admission.
For the 2016-2017 academic year, a new procedure for admission to universities has been introduced. It also concerns future bachelors, and specialists, and masters: order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated October 14, 2015 No. 1147.
What documents to prepare for admission to a bachelor's or specialist's degree:

- certified photocopies of documents: passports / international passports; certificates of passing the exam; certificate/diploma of secondary vocational education;
- six photos 3x4;
- medical certificate form 086-y (for full-time education);
- portfolio: copies of diplomas, certificates, thanks, letters of recommendation, etc.
Undergraduate
WITH June 20 All universities are already accepting documents for full-time and part-time programs. But the deadline for accepting documents depends on the set of entrance tests. If for admission you do not need to take any additional internal exams to the Unified State Examination, then for you the deadline for submitting documents is 26 July.
If your program involves additional professional or creative tests, then be afraid of the date July 7. Universities may extend the date of collection of documents, but this must be obtained from the university itself.
Let's say you didn't pass the Unified State Examination and for admission you have to enter the university's internal exams (this can happen, for example, if an applicant enters after a specialized secondary vocational education). In this case, take care to hand over the documents before July 10. The university can set a later date here too, so be sure to clarify the issue on the website of your university.
Before 26 July must pass all internal and additional examinations, and thus this date marks the end of the first wave of admission.
For those who are going to study on a paid basis and / or at the correspondence department, the deadlines for submitting documents are entirely determined by the educational institution.
Master's degree
Students enter the magistracy according to the results of internal tests of the university. This may be a portfolio competition or a core subject, coupled with a foreign language. To participate in the competition, you must submit a diploma of higher education.
The only term for the master's program that puts forward a new admission procedure is 10th of August. The university cannot complete the acceptance of documents before this date.
Deadlines for the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiads
It is possible to enter a university without any examinations at all. First of all, this concerns the winners of the All-Russian school Olympiads from a special list established by law. Within four years following the year of the Olympiad, the winner or prize-winner of the competition can submit their results to universities and apply for out-of-competition admission.
Additional credits for portfolio
Additional points can be obtained:
- for the certificate of secondary general education with honors,
- diploma of secondary vocational education with honors,
- certificate of volunteer (voluntary) activity,
- TRP icon.
But not only. It is important to show any achievements that are relevant to the educational program.
