Sergei Sosedov is a journalist, music observer, critic, whose biography and personal life attract the attention of the public largely due to his scandalous reputation.
Childhood and family
Sergei Sosedov was born in Moscow in 1968 into an ordinary Soviet family: his father served in the metro police, his mother worked as an engineer.
From the very youth In the biography and personal life of Sergei Sosedov, his non-standard orientation began to appear: coquetry unusual for men, a high timbre of his voice, a defiant gait. At the same time, his older brother Vladimir grew up as a completely ordinary guy.
According to Sergei Sosedov, he did not experience any persecution, bullying or other “bullying” at school due to his difference from other children.
Sergei Sosedov in childhood
At school he did not show any interest in the exact sciences, but in the humanities he had no equal. His answers in literature classes turned into a small show with him in the leading role.
In 1983, Sosedov graduated from a music school in piano class, and in 1985 from a regular secondary school. From 1984 to 1993 he attended lectures on the theory and history of music at the music school and the Conservatory. In 1988 he attended directing courses at the Institute of Culture.
Sergei Sosedov in his youth
After school, Sergei Sosedov began working for the legendary newspaper Gudok. It was in this publication that in 1989 his journalistic debut took place - a large, double-page interview with Edita Piekha. The Soviet pop star liked the interview, and she sent Sergei a letter of gratitude.
From 1994 to 1996, Sergei Sosedov worked as a freelancer for the Rossiyskie Vesti newspaper. In 1996 he graduated from the journalism department of Moscow State University with honors.
Music and television
Since 1997, photos of Sergei Sosedov periodically appear in the media, and fans begin to become interested in his biography and personal life - his wife, children and other details. However, even then it was clear to many that he would never have a wife or children.
Sergei in his youth
Sergei Sosedov's track record is impressive. At different times he worked in the following positions:
- PR Manager of the Academy of Sciences Concert Hall
- Correspondent for the weekly "Sreda"
- Music critic for the League of Nations newspaper
- Music editor of ANO "Rock Power"
- Correspondent for the publications “TV Park”, “Sudarushka”, “Extra-M”, “Hit Parade”, “Interlocutor”, “7 Days” and others.
Sosedov himself believes that his work in the show “Sharks of the Feather” on TV-6 in the 95-98s brought him wide popularity.
In this show, Sosedov showed himself to be a ruthless, caustic critic. At various times, the recipients of his impartial comments were Dolina, Saltykova, Kormilyetsev and other respectable stars of the then show business.
In 1999, having made an unimaginable somersault in changing interests, Sosedov became a participant in the religious show “Canon” on the same TV-6.
After the closure of the TV-6 channel, Sergei Sosedov tries to collaborate with the DTV channel, and in 2002 his original program “Under Press” was broadcast there.
At a time when the NTV channel was trying to change its format, Sergei Sosedov took part as a jury member in the music show “Superstar”.
Shocking judge on the show "X Factor"
A special page in the biography and personal life of Sergei Sosedov is his work on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel STV in the show “X-Factor”, and you can still find videos on YouTube entitled “Sergei Sosedov Broadcasts”, “Sergei Sosedov’s Hysteria”, etc. .d.
Shocking judge on the show "X Factor"
In this show, Sergei Sosedov was remembered as the brightest, most emotional, extravagant and at the same time the strictest member of the jury. Unfortunately, in 2015, Sergei ended up in the Mirotovretz database and was forced to leave the show.
Orientation
The biography and personal life of journalist Sergei Sosedov has its own characteristics, which he does not consider necessary to hide.
Sergei Sosedov made the so-called “coming out” on the air of the “Superstar” show on NTV, when, answering questions from Olesya Zheleznyak regarding his biography, personal life, wife, children, he stated that he preferred men and was dating a handsome young man.
Sergey Sosedov showed his boyfriend
According to Sergei, he realized his homosexuality back in school years, having fallen in love with a handsome violinist boy at a music school. In his life he had one-time sex with women, but it was purely mechanical and did not bring pleasure.
But in the life of Sergei Sosedov there are many real friends of women who had a great influence on his life, including his creative life.
Sergei consistently defends the rights of sexual minorities to privacy in the world of show business. This, for example, happened when revealing photos of fashion designer Chapurin with gallery owner Bagrationi appeared online. Sosedov immediately issued a statement condemning the publication of private information about his sex life.
According to Sergei Sosedov, a person cannot be judged by whether he has wives, children and mistresses in his biography and personal life or whether he dates men. A person should be judged by his actions and creative achievements.

According to Sergei, more than half of show business is gay, while two-thirds of the audience are women. This is why some gay stars try to appear macho, stud, hero-lover - so as not to disappoint their fans.

Personal life
The personal life in the biography of music critic Sergei Sosedov is quite stormy, while some specific information about his lovers appeared only in 2012.
With singer Pyotr Dmitrichenko
In the city of Sitges, which European gays chose as the center of their parties, the paparazzi captured Sergei Sedov in the arms of Pyotr Dmitrichenko, a Ukrainian participant in the X Factor.
It must be said that he does not hide his inclinations, but at the same time he is in no hurry to advertise his relationship. It is known that he had affairs with Roman Veremeychik, Vyacheslav Fedorov and fashionable Ukrainian designer Sanatan.
Sergei had an affair with Roman Veremeychik
Recently, everyone who is interested in the biography and personal life of Sergei Sosedov has begun to worry about the question of what is he sick with?
With Sergei Zverev
The fact is that in the show “Secret for a Million” Sergei Sosedov openly told how his father passed away - hard and painfully from lung cancer detected too late. Presenter Lera Kudryavtseva advised him to undergo a full medical examination, and it revealed serious health problems: gallstones, pyelonephritis, cysts in the kidneys and thyroid gland.
There are some facts in the life of the extravagant music critic that are not so widely known:
- For his first journalistic material in 1989, Sergei Sosedov received a fee of 75 rubles.
- In 2015, Sergei Sosedov played the role of a security guard in the video of the Ukrainian team Ray Band.
- At one time, Sergei Sosedov became persona non grata on Channel One for his critical assessment of the Tatu group’s performance at Eurovision.
- According to Sergei Sosedov, the only person who is always waiting for him is his mother, who is already over eighty years old.

Sergey Sosedov now
Sergei Sosedov looks very youthful and fit, but in May 2018 he celebrated his fiftieth anniversary.
A person who has made scandal and shocking a lifestyle remains true to himself. In the show “Secret for a Million” he completely demolished Pugachev, Rotaru, Baskov.
Without any hesitation, Sergei Sosedov called the songs of old stars complete slag. They, in his opinion, are secondary in music and poor in content. It’s high time for these performers to retire, but they are in no hurry to give way to young people, striking with the vulgarity, nonsense and bad taste of their performances.
Sergey Sosedov in the show “Secret to a Million”
Particularly interesting is Sosedov’s attitude towards Alla Pugacheva. Once in his youth he was her dedicated fan, but now he has replaced love with hatred. No matter what show Sergei appears in, he considers it his duty to kick the defeated lioness of our show business. Such close and partial attention to this woman is already becoming intrusive and, to put it mildly, ugly.
Sergei Sosedov loudly declares that he is bitterly disappointed that Pugacheva “fell so low.” He accused her of a complete loss of voice and artistic personality, as well as creative impotence.
The public's attitude towards Sergei Sosedov's latest escapades is far from ambiguous. Many people note that in order to “beat the downtrodden” you don’t need either honor or intelligence. Yes, the stars of the 80s and 90s have long been classified as “downed pilots,” but they at least have a glorious past.
In his latest speeches, Sergei Sosedov criticizes not the music, but the performers, and for anything other than the music. This quick transition to personalities is a common problem of Russian music critics.
Besides, as they say, “judge not, and ye shall not be judged.” Many believe that Sergei Sosedov himself has long been outdated. He is not very well versed in new trends; he is, as young people say, “not into the hype.”
Those who know the history of Russian show business well watch with sadness the metamorphoses of Sergei Sosedov. He increasingly tries on the wrong image of an armchair analyst and critic of Alla Pugacheva’s pink slippers, instead of carefully monitoring and commenting on the latest trends in popular music.
But times are changing, and today the work of a music critic should resemble the work of a prospector in a gold mine: you have to sort through tons of sand to find grains of gold.
For obvious reasons, Sergei Sosedov is not represented widely enough on social networks. It's all about his orientation. From his own experience, Sergei Sosedov knows that homophobic sentiments in society are still very strong.
Sergei Sosedov's public recognition of his orientation is an act of courage, which undoubtedly closed some opportunities for him.
It is difficult to say how the creative destiny of Sergei Sosedov will further develop. With his vast experience and incredible wealth of facts, he could probably try his hand at memoir writing, becoming a chronicler of Russian show business.
Now Sergei lacks some kind of media platform of his own. Going from one talk show to another is clearly not his level.
Sergei Sosedov is undoubtedly a talented person. Experts believe that his current not very brilliant position is also due to the fact that he relied on working on Ukrainian television and lost contacts in Russian show business, lost “recognition”, and without this one cannot dream of success.
In one of his last appearances on a regular talk show, Sergei Sosedov admitted that he had not given up his dream of fatherhood and stated that he was ready to make great sacrifices for this.
He is not shy about speaking openly about his sexuality. According to Sergei, many representatives of show business hold similar views in their intimate lives. Sosedov spoke frankly in an interview about when Russian artists will begin to come out, as well as why he himself does not have sex so often.
“On vacation, a husband can sleep with others!”
Sergei, you have repeatedly said that homosexuality is common on the stage. Why don’t our artists admit to having relationships with men, as stars do in the West?
They are afraid because the fans will leave. Why should they talk about their lives? On the contrary, people should think that artists are divorced or single. So that every woman dreams of marrying him. This is the game - in the relationship between the artist and the audience. There is no need to reveal such things.
- But there are still straight people on the stage?
Of course there are, but there are not many of them. In general, it all depends on the situation: everyone can be seduced. I also had such cases when I had sex with married men. They said: the main thing is that the wife and no one else know. And everything is so wonderful!
- Did you feel any remorse at that moment?
No, absolutely. It's like a novel. Why should a man be attached to his wife? Is he her slave, or what? They were interested in me, a new experience. Many straight men enjoy homoerotic sex. They find it very interesting. I have friends and acquaintances who consider relationships with men to be somewhat shameful. But if no one sees or knows, they are interested.
- How do you feel about holiday romances?
Very good. A person lives his life. On the one hand, it is long, and on the other, it is short. And no one is anyone's property. If a husband goes to a resort on vacation without his wife and starts an affair, this does not mean that he is cheating. This means he is resting. And he has every right to do so. I think it’s bad when a husband and wife spend all their time together. This is wrong: people should give each other some freedom. The wife should not ask her husband upon arrival what he did and who he was with. A holiday romance is not cheating. But people in general do not understand this. An affair and lustful impulses are mistaken for treason. But that's not true. And a girl, by the way, can also have an affair in the south. But she must be especially careful, because she might get pregnant, sorry. By its nature, it comes with more responsibility. She can have fun, but the main thing is not to get carried away. By the way, a girl may be more likely to cheat when she sees a new handsome male.
“I don’t separate sex and intelligence”
- You speak openly about your sexuality. Probably, romances happen regularly in your life?
No. On the contrary, I consider myself an overly chaste person. I would like more sexual freedom. I miss it: I am my own limiter, I put myself within strict limits. I am a cautious person, I don’t indulge in all serious things.
- Why?
I am afraid that I might get a sexually transmitted disease, for which I will then have to undergo treatment for a long time. And the moral principles that exist do not allow it. Maybe I don’t have enough physical strength. You can run into swindlers and hooligans. This is also one of the main reasons why I am strict in relationships. I need to get to know the person: they can put them on, take off their shoes, and even kill them. Anything can happen. I have a friend who was beaten many times in his apartment. What a horror it was! I've been looking at a potential man for quite a long time. But if there is a good person, then everything turns out great and exciting. I'm also flighty. My relationships end quickly, I quickly get bored and bored with everything. Or maybe I just didn’t find such a person. It's probably his own fault.
- What was the longest relationship you had?
No more than six months. Sometimes it took three months. I am very impressionable and easily disappointed. It happens that I see: a person turned out to be stupider than I thought. And the relationship ends. I don't separate sex and intelligence. They are in one bundle. If he is not intelligent, no matter how good he is in appearance, in bed, he will not be with me for long. Conversations about art, literature and music are important to me. And in bed - a maximum of an hour, an hour and a half. Although this is too much.
- But no intelligence can replace quality sex!
Of course, everything must fit together. But if a person is intelligent, he understands that he must also be at a good level sexually. It happens that you look at a person and understand: he is not yours. But over time it gets closer to you. This is the best thing. And flashes: “Oh, what a handsome man!” - I probably don’t need them.
Sergei Sosedov cannot be confused with anyone. The journalist became famous for expressing his own point of view, which is different from many, without regard to authorities and political correctness. Just look at his words that the shows are poorly staged, the unfeminine one has no vocal abilities, and yesterday’s muse and inspiration is the main disappointment in life. That is why representatives of the music elite are afraid to come into the view of the most honest critic of Russian show business.
Childhood and youth
Sergei was born in May 1968. The family, in which, besides him, his elder brother Vladimir was brought up, lived in Moscow. Father Vasily Sosedov served in the internal affairs bodies until he was 76 years old, and died of cancer in 2010. The journalist considers his mother Antonina Petrovna, a communications engineer by profession, to be the only dearest person who understands him and accepts him unconditionally.
Family ShowbizFrom his early youth, the future publicist was distinguished from the crowd of his peers by his unusual timbre of voice, bizarre gait and affectation, which is not typical for men. Sergei grew up unsociable, while Vladimir had many friends and acquaintances. The only thing in which Sosedov was superior to his brother was studying; he did not have the habit of coming to classes unprepared.
Sergei found salvation from painful thoughts and reflections in music. According to the journalist, his world turned upside down twice: the first time while listening to a concerto for piano and orchestra, and the second time when his mother brought home Alla Pugacheva’s record and turned on the song “Harlequin”.
After graduating from school, Sosedov was hired as a courier for the newspaper Gudok. In this publication in 1989, he made his debut as a journalist - an interview with was published. The editorial board called the article the best in the issue, and the interviewer added a fee of 75 rubles. received a letter of gratitude from the performer.
From Sosedov’s biography it is known that he graduated with honors from the newspaper and magazine department of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, and wrote columns in many newspapers and magazines. Among other things, Sergei is the author of numerous comments and stories on radio “Mayak”, “Yunost” and “Echo of Moscow”. At the radio station “Moscow Speaks” he hosted the popular program “Star Company”.
Television and music
In the late 90s, the musical talk show “Sharks of the Feather” appeared on television. Sosedov not only took part in the program, but became its star. Provocative questions, not without a humorous component, became the highlight of the young journalist.
Seeing creative snobbery and fatigue in the texts of the author of the group “”, Sergei was not afraid to call the poems poetic substandard. Comparing creativity and, in front of an audience of thousands, he doubted the second’s viability as a singer. The lead singer of the group “Corrosion of Metal” Sergei Vysokosov also came under attack.
Music critic Sergei Sosedov (shot from the show “X Factor”)
In 2010, the Ukrainian STB attracted Sosedov as a judge for the popular singing competition “X-Factor”. He sharply criticized the participants more often than other colleagues on the show, but he perceived unflattering words addressed to him as an insult. An example is “Dancing with the Stars” on the same channel, where the jury recognized the journalist as the worst mover on the floor.
As a music critic, Sergei often commented on Eurovision performers. So, in the program “”, defending the Austrian singer Thomas Neuwirth (), he came into confrontation with the entire audience. The publicist urged the audience to focus attention not on the artist’s appearance, but on his vocal abilities.
Personal life
The showman never denied his non-traditional sexual orientation, but he preferred not to talk about his personal life. As soon as Sosedov cast a languid glance towards a representative of the stronger half of humanity, his fellow journalists instantly made mountains out of molehills.
TSN
True, photographs in which the critic hugs acquaintances can hardly be called scandalous. The paparazzi did not have any incriminating evidence on their hands until meticulous media representatives managed to capture Sosedov at the resort of Sitges (the unofficial European capital of gays) in the company of the Ukrainian singer Pyotr Dmitrichenko. The artist himself, an active user of social networks, did not cover the topic of his trip abroad in any way.
“I have had women, but not in marriage. I am a free, flighty, loner person. Marriage is so routine and monotonous, my family oppresses me, although loneliness is also very difficult.”
While Neighbors is calm about the absence of his wife, children are a sore subject. The journalist is afraid to be left alone and is thinking about surrogacy. In the “” program she even introduced him to a girl who agreed to carry the child, but Sergei asked for time to think.
(1968)
Sergei Vasilyevich Sosedov was born on May 23, 1968 in Moscow. He graduated from high school in 1985. Since childhood I was fond of music, so I went to music school, which I graduated from in 1983.
Sergei Sosedov immediately fell in love with art. Between 1984 and 1993 he attended lectures on music theory and history. Sergei also did the same thing by attending directing courses in Moscow, at the regional Institute of Culture. At this time, Sosedov discovers that he has a creative and critical mind, that he can easily quickly understand the essence of any subject and characterize it. Sosedov can easily describe literary characters and their actions. He demonstrated these abilities more than once at the Olympiads, writing his original, as they said, essays. At this time, Sergei’s interest in literature was formed; this, one might say, was the decisive period in the biography of Sergei Sosedov.
Soon Sergei begins his journalistic practice, working as a courier for the newspaper Gudok. From 1994 to 1996, Sergei worked as a correspondent for the Rossiyskiye Vesti newspaper. In 1996 he graduated from the newspaper and magazine department of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University. Lomonosov, receiving a red diploma. Sergei Sosedov considers his time at this university the best in his life.
From January 1997 to July 1998, Sosedov worked as press manager of the department of operation of the concert hall (now called “Academic”) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In the period from December 1998 to April 2000, he was a correspondent for the weekly “Sreda” of the Concern “Evening Moscow” CJSC, where, in particular, he wrote the regular column “Secular Circus”.

From September 2002 to May 2004, he was a columnist for the monthly music magazine Hit Parade, where, in particular, he led the author’s column “By the Neighbors.”
Sergei Sosedov became famous after filming in the rating program “Sharks of the Feather,” which aired on the Russian channel TV-6 in 1995-1998.
Sergei gained even greater popularity after being a member of the jury of the TV competition “Superstar” on the NTV channel in October-December 2007, as well as in October-December 2008.
As can be seen from the biography of Sergei Sosedov, he participated in many projects. In all of them, he showed himself to be fair and confident, no matter what. In 2010, Sergei Sosedov became a member of the jury of the musical talent show “X-Factor”. Here he reveals himself to be a very educated and professional critic. With his criticism, Sergei does not humiliate a person, but points out his strengths and weaknesses and helps him find himself.
Quite little is known about the personal life of Sergei Sosedov, since he was an extremely private person. The only thing that is known for sure is that Sergei Sosedov is gay. He openly states this and has no complexes about it.
The sexual orientation of the outrageous music critic Sergei Sosedov is of interest to many. His fans don't know whether he is gay or not. But this has not been a secret for a long time, Sergei has never hidden it.
He is homosexual and openly talks about it. He likes men and he talks about it in interviews. He believes that his highlight is, and this is one of the reasons why he is so in demand.
He does not hide the fact that he had previously had relationships with women, but this disappointed him and now he only loves men.
He is not a supporter of marriage and does not care that same-sex families are not allowed in the post-Soviet space.
Sergei Sosedov is gay or not: perhaps the reasons for his homosexuality go back to childhood
O was born in May '68 in the capital of the Union. His mother was an engineer, but his father was an employee of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate. He grew up as a serious guy, many respected him and one of the reasons was his spontaneity.
He studied well at school and was even given extra rest, because at school he gave his best, which aroused the admiration of everyone. He also studied at a music school; he eventually graduated from both schools with honors.
He did not grow up on the street and was very domestic, he wanted to be the best. He loved music very much, went to lectures at the music school and conservatory. He also attended directing courses, and in 1996 he graduated from Moscow State University with honors and became a journalist.
Sergey Sosedov, gay or not: he dreamed of journalism
He always wanted to be a journalist and when he graduated from school he became a courier for one of the newspapers. In 1989, he made his debut in journalism by interviewing Piekha herself. And then my career took off.
He worked at Rossiyskie Vesti and at the League of Nations and at Evening Moscow. But he became a journalist specializing in music in the Hit Parade publication. But on television he appeared in the project “Sharks of the Feather” in 1995. And after that he came to Canon as a specialist.
Sergey Sosedov is gay or not: great fame came to Sosedov after the “Superstar” project
In 2002, he tried himself as a presenter in the “Under Press” project. But when he was invited to the show “Superstar”, where he was one of the jury members, he became very popular.
After that there were several more projects, but the one that stood out the most was “The X Factor,” where he was also on the jury and a star producer. He is considered a good music critic who has his own opinion on everything. He also took part in such entertainment projects as “Dancing with the Stars.”
Sergei Sosedov is gay or not: the critic has always been straightforward, for this he is now not allowed on Channel One
Sosedov is known for always saying what he thinks and this is not always liked by people, and sometimes by very influential people. When the Tatu group took part in Eurovision and in Malakhov’s studio the audience gathered to support the Russian stars, Sergei criticized them.
He said then that third place was an excellent result for the girls, since they sang poorly. After this, an unspoken rule arose not to call the critic to the First under any pretext, but this does not seem to bother him too much.
Sosedov was spotted more than once with the Ukrainian singer Pyotr Dmitrenko, they say they already have a long affair, and it seems like they got married somewhere abroad.
